A November to Remember

November 2024 was a very busy period for the young Access World Project Team in Turkey. Through a 2 week period within the month, they executed 3 Breakbulk operations, 2 critical Airfreights and many more making November their busiest month since the start of the department in Feb 2024.
They are happy to share with us the details of what has happened during that 2 week in November, proving how versatile the Team is when it comes to Project Logistics.

Breakbulk Operations

-The giant 2 steel presses of 315tons each has arrived it’s port of destination in Turkey. Access World Turkey had been awarded for door-to-door delivery of the cargo and the achievement marks a significant milestone as the heaviest cargo ever handled by an Access World office. The cargo has been safely discharged from the vessel and is now installed on elephant legs, awaiting the final mile delivery.

-AW Turkey also organized a breakbulk shipment for automotive industry from China. Again, door to door and at a very short notice Access World Turkey and China offices teamed up to make the planned vessel on time and let the vessel sail after a safe and smooth loading operation in Shanghai.

-Finally, AW Turkey helped their VIP client for the surveillance and lashing of a heavy lift pressure tank operation in Turkey. The task required a full cooperation between terminal, vessel, shipper, their trucker and multiple surveillance parties and thanks to their usual physical appearance on site, task was successfully completed.

Air Freight Shipments

-AW Turkey was nominated to organize a complex air shipment of paint for automotive industry. Apart from door to port freight and handling services, they also performed DG packaging at their intermediate warehouse of the cargo in 58 DG boxes and shipped the cargo without any complications regarding DG regulations and also executed the freight.

-As they did plenty of times this year, the team organized another decent weight of approx. 10 tons power equipment from Turkey to its final destination. To make sure all organized perfectly for the freight, they had to drive more then 2.000 kms themselves to survey different steps of production process, attended again physically the surveys at factory and shipped this voluminous cargo at a busy period without problems.


Key to success for Access World Turkey is to be present wherever they can during the most critical project cargo operations and make sure all perfectly set before the cargo is at terminal for its next voyage.
